A boat carrying 119 suspected asylum seekers on board has been intercepted off the West Australian coast.
HMAS Maryborough, operating under the control of Border Protection, intercepted the boat about 18.5 nautical miles north of Christmas Island on Saturday morning, Australian Customs and Border Protection said on Saturday.
Two crew were also on board.
The suspected asylum seekers have been sent to Christmas Island for security, identity and health checks.
